As the Minneapolitans struggle
The debacle continues
As the heinous deaths recede from view
The message is clear
The Federales are after our jugular
For the sake of power
If the crisis in Minneapolis stood alone
It would be bad enough
But it’s merely a footnote
In its hideous violence
And unfathomable contempt
If Minneapolis was
But it isn’t
The countless cases gone before
A drumbeat of evermore noise
Sounding the alarm
Listen for yourselves
Too much to recite
But suffice to note
Whether Constitutional infractions
Failed coups
Xenophobia or racism
Suborning universities
Weakening civil rights and liberties
Corrupting American culture
Gutting democracy
With El Lider wallowing in hubris
We are all losers, Left and Right
Minneapolis tells us so
