Yet, the darn truth is that politics really drives how we can live our lives. Yesterday, I had lunch at a local food truck that was a wonderful respite from the sordid nature of contemporary politics. It made me forget about the intransigence of friends and others who continue to support or enable Trump&#8217;s politics.<\/p>\n<p>I know that food trucks have been around for a long time, especially in larger urban areas, but St. Simons is coastal Georgia and is sometimes a bit behind the latest trends. I do know, however, that my experience made me a big fan of the potential of food trucks.<\/p>\n<p>Jefecitas Mobile Kitchen made my day. It was easy, casual, affordable and tasty. I ordered three tacos, chips and salsa and a mandarin jarrito, a typical Mexican soft drink. The tacos were absolutely wonderful and authentic, made traditionally with corn; I chose one carne asada (marinated grilled steak), one barbacoa (lamb or goat in beef broth) and one nopalito (prickly pear cactus). If you live within eating distance, you must try some!<\/p>\n<p>Most importantly, a trip to Jefecitas or your local equivalent will be a pick-me-up moment in your day and remind you that there\u2019s more to living than the humdrum of politics.
