<\/p>\n\n\n\n

If the Democrats win the upcoming midterm elections on November 3rd, the reason will be \u201cthe economy stupid.\u201d Without the negative economic issues, however, Trump and his allies would be given a pass for the next two years.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I find this abominable. The Trump administration has been the worst in American history. It has committed many acts that are cause to condemn it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The January 6, 2020, insurrection was, by itself, an unprecedented assault on our democracy and constitutional government; it lives on in infamy and should have resulted in Trump\u2019s impeachment and conviction. He clearly instigated and incited the attack on the Capital to overturn the election results. It was a failed coup d\u2019 etat, plain and simple.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Additional evidence of Trump\u2019s abuse are too many to list here. Some, like influence peddling, self-enrichment, conflict of interest, and misuse of public funds are ongoing. So, too, are misguided immigration policies resulting in violence by ICE, death of American citizens and cruelty toward innocent immigrants. There is also the unconstitutional war with Iran and the use of punitive tariffs despite disapproval by the Supreme Court.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Voting Trump\u2019s politicians out of office because of \u201caffordability\u201d issues is reasonable, but there is a higher bar set by our rule of law and the Constitution that should be invoked by politicians and voters of all stripes.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
