This morning\u2019s editorial entitled \u201cThe ICE Shooting in Minneapolis\u201d* in The Wall Street Journal<\/em> is the usual disingenuous attempt by Republican apologists to assuage Republican guilt. Time and time again after terrible tragedies they trot out their sanctimonious laments about \u201cboth sides being wrong.\u201d The biggest fool among us knows that sending armed paramilitaries into our communities, goons armed to the teeth with masks telling innocent motorists to get \u201cthe f**k out of the car!\u201d may well result in unrest and violence.<\/p>\n

The Wall Street Journal<\/em> editorial writers should be ashamed for letting their partisan roles obscure the truth.
\nAll tragedies are not always the fault of both sides; sometimes, just sometimes, one side is to blame and that fact must be called out. Unfortunately, this tactic is too often trotted out to satisfy editorial partisanship and genuflect to conservatives readers. Such journalism is dishonest and gives cover for those who hold both the law and citizens in low esteem.<\/p>\n

The ongoing chaos brought by Trump\u2019s obsessive overreach will only be ended when all of us, together, stand up and say no more. This means that The Wall Street Journal, with its partisan editorial policy, must at times tell the truth even if it challenges its constituency.<\/p>\n
