I can\u2019t remember where I left off the last time I wrote something for these pages. I guess it\u2019s the \u201cmad cow disease\u201d that goes with my increasing age. I believe it had something to do with my promise to hang in there and do better after a long absence due to fatigue and disgust with the current state of political affairs.<\/p>\n
That being said, I can\u2019t keep my mouth shut given the lunacy, avarice and disreputable behavior that is continually displayed by what used to be the Grand Old Party. With the Republican Party gone we find ourselves with a one party system that can\u2019t function because it is constantly kneecapped by radical thugs masquerading as Republicans. Think the likes of Matt Gaetz and Marjorie Taylor Greene.<\/p>\n
Our former president is selling snake oil while his sycophants in Congress refuse to take action on anything they believe would reflect well on the Democrats. In the meantime, Washington burns and major crises, domestic and international, fester and get worse.
